Limited Cup stays the course

By Chari Albin
On Saturday, March 24, Cloud 9’s Rick Clark, Mike Hobbs, Richard Baker, and Dave Todd headed back up to Ringers Pub for a go at the Limited Cup. Seems like it’s all Cloud 9 vs. Ringers lately.
Ringers’ Travis Stocking, Doug Mason, Brian Smith, and Carlos Tamayo shot very well, but this ultra-tough Cloud 9 team wiggled the Limited Cup out of Ringer’s hands that day.
Then, on Saturday, April 21, Cloud 9 team Rick Clark, Mike Hobbs, Richard Baker, and Dave Todd welcomed Bellingham’s Waterfront Tavern team; Brad Bowles, Rick Foster, Steve Bailey, and Cori Maines to the Kent Valley to put up or shut up.
Special thanks to Robyn for helping to put together a team in such short notice. It was such a beautiful day, she said it was a nice drive down.
Both teams played extremely well that day. Cori Maines, a Medalist-rated 7, shot some amazing darts for the Waterfront.
Congratulations to Richard Baker for taking out a Ton 80 in ‘01.
The final score turned out to be 17 to 11, Cloud 9.
Thanks again to those that dropped by to support the players. And to the Waterfront group for their commitment to these cups each month. They’re poised to take one of these Challenge Cups home soon.
Cloud 9 will get set to take on The Inn Sportsbar next month. Check out the Challenge Cup List on page 8 for details.
