Waldo’s is crackalackin every Saturday night in Lynnwood! Their brand new weekly dart shoots are drawing one heck of a crowd on Saturday nights.
Players making the Saturday night trek out to Waldo’s are some of the areas old-schoolers to the game. They don’t care what kind of dart boards they play on, they’re there for the competition and the social aspect. Sure they might look and sound a bit different, but in the end, it’s just darts.
From across the bar, each week, come several new players, drawn by the new DARTSLIVE boards. All that curious flashing and beeping, and that nifty carpet-runner leading to the board makes for an attractive presentation indeed. Waldo’s features four brand new boards.
Darin Bohland, WWDL representative, signed up 14 teams on October 13th, and the bar was jumpin’ just like back in the day. It was great to see some of our old friends come out to play. But tonight was extra special. Tonight we celebrated the return of our prodigal daughter, Jennifer Firestone, back from a two-year relocation attempt to Dallas, Texas. Lynnwood is Jennifer’s home, and she’s longed for home since leaving town. Welcome back to Jennifer Firestone, back to the safety of her friends and family in the Northwest. Best friends, Jennifer Stuart and Robbyn Rich were happy to be reunited with their long lost buddy.
Waldo’s, when it used to be the old Bat Rack, was one of the most prolific dart houses in existence. Many, many dart players, some of the best in the game, got their start at the Bat Rack, and consider it an honor to hold that label. Through the years, Waldo’s has enjoyed varied success in darts, but couldn’t sustain the program. Today, they hope that New Horizon Darts and these new-fangled DARTSLIVE boards will do the trick. Every Saturday, Waldo’s kicks in $300 cash with just 12 teams, $400 with 16 teams, or $500 with 20 teams. It’s a 24-point Bring Partner, and starts up at 8:00pm.
