Good news for southend dart players from Tacoma to Olympia! The all-new Legends Sportsbar and Lounge at Denny’s Restaurant in Lakewood is up and running with a full-scale dart program sure to rival even the biggest dart houses.

Cliff Satterwhite, longtime dart player, karaoke host, and bar owner has set up shop in Lakewood at the Denny’s on 100th Street SW. He reportedly fought hard to obtain approval to transform the tired old bar into an exciting sports bar atmosphere more apt to attract bodies for some real playtime. So, build it he did. And come they did.

Legends Sportsbar and Lounge is now open for business and ready to serve you!

It was the weekend of December 11-13, 2009 when Cliff and company rolled out the red carpets, inviting everyone to see the new digs during their Grand Opening 3-day event. On Friday night, Cliff kicked off the weekend with a night of open mic karaoke from 9pm-closing.

On Saturday night, without any sleep, Cliff opened the doors to scads of dart players for their very first dart tournament. It was an exciting time. They pulled in 24 players for their inaugural dart shoot. This would be the real test. Cliff had torn down walls, built new ones, painted, added a bunch of TVs, built a stage, carpeted, and finally installed six Medalist Avanti dart boards. The bar at Denny’s was completely transformed! Cliff had created an amazing atmosphere of enjoyment for his patrons to enjoy for years to come.

Twenty-four dart players shuffled around the room, taking turns at the boards, while Janel kept the tournament charts rolling along smoothly. There are a ton of tables and chairs for relaxing and a full bar just ten feet away where Barb is committed to keeping everyone’s glass half full. Barb followed Cliff over from his own bar in Kent to run the bar at his new place of business.

Dedicated area dart players filled the bar, christening their newest venue for competition and getting a feel for the place. Willie got up and enjoyed some karaoke and so did many others. The karaoke stage is on the opposite end of the bar from the dart boards.

Sheila wanted to give a shout out to everybody who voted her baby son, Demarko, into the top 50 of KUBE’s Cutest Baby Contest out of thousands of entrants. She was so happy with the results, making it to the final round of judging. Really a cute kid!

Legends Sportsbar at Dennys is pleased to offer weekly shoots every Friday and Saturday night, $300 Added based on 15 teams. Everyone is welcome to come out and try out Tacoma’s newest dart bar!
