CHANNEL MARKER; EDMONDS, WA By Ty Hughes The Channel Marker at 170 Sunset Avenue in Edmonds kicked off a new era of darts last month when they announced that the fabulous Traci Ewing would be taking over the dart coordinator position. On Friday and Saturday, June 6 & 7, Jan, Brent, Traci and the whole gang at Channel Marker hosted a Summer Kickoff and Welcome Party weekend featuring two $750 Added dart shoots, food and drink specials, not to mention a birthday celebration for Traci’s little brother, Travis. This being Traci’s first big event as Channel Marker’s coordinator, we were all anxious to see what kind of response she’d get from the players. On Friday night, she drew in 19 teams and the bar was packed with people looking for some relief from those workweek blues. By Saturday night the team count increased to a whopping 28 teams in honor of Traci and her new home for darts. Saturday just happened to be Sean McGee’s birthday too, so he and several of his closest friends came down for some party action. Owner Jan says, “We’re the restaurant that just happens to have a bar”, referring to their incredible quality and selection of menu items. It’s not just greasy bar food here, folks, no way! The Channel Marker features some of the best Stroganoff on the planet, and on Monday nights you can get a full order for just $8.99. Maybe it’s Prime Rib you prefer. They also have a full on Prime Rib dinner for only $8.99 on Mondays as well. The service is outstanding, prompt and the staff is always happy and smiling. Enjoy Taco night every Tuesday, or 2 for 1 sirloin dinners for just $12.99 on Wednesdays. They have a dinner special every single night of the week at the Channel Marker, including Braised Chicken on Thursday, Halibut or Cod on Friday, Prime Rib on Saturdays and Jumbo Dogs every Sunday. This is the place to seriously consider when choosing your next home location for darts. They have six dart boards and the bar is huge with lots of room to roam. Every Friday night, you dart players can join in their weekly $300 Gtd. Added, 18 point max dart tournament starting at 9pm. But if you happen to miss that one, plan on visiting the Channel Marker on Saturday night for the Bigger Little Dawg, 14 point max tournament also starting at 9pm. Come on down to the all-new Channel Marker and check out the dart scene, say hello to Traci, welcome her to her new location and get your dart teams signed up for an exciting new season of competition at the only bar in Edmonds with a pulltab bar. We think you’re going to like what you find here! Contact them by phone at (425) 275-9590. |
