Thoughts From A Reader

In this age of "fear of terrorism", we need to have our politicianps address, a sad injustice to all natural born citizens.

I have an aquaintence who is a senior pilot for United Airlines. Several years ago, I was chatting with him over drinks, and he told me that he always has a full plane when he flies out of the Far East.

He told me that there are foreigners who are on standby lists for every country he flies into, and that when the passenger manifest is prepared, the empty seats are filled with these immigrants.

Furthermore, he told me that the Federal Government pays for the airfare for each of these passengers.

Lets take this a step further. Once they are here, they get food stamps, money for an automobile, money for housing and they attend our universities and colleges at little or no cost to them, (not to mention the rest of the family shows up in mass).

The people who attacked our country on 9/11 were immigrants, and had taken advantage of our country's generosity, kindness and training.

If we discontinued helping people who have no business being here when they can't make their own way, can't speak our language, and begin helping our own people instead, we could build a much stronger America. This is an issue that really bothers me.

Last week, I watched a group of young soldiers who were born outside the United States sworn in as American citizens, just in time to vote. Who do you think these historically ignorant new citizens will vote for?

Why, their commander and chief, of course. There should be some kind of rule against granting citizenship and voting rights to soldiers born outside the United States of America. This
is a form of stacking the deck, if you ask me.

I know that America has always been immigrant friendly, but some things are going too far. Spleak engrish prease!

Just my thoughts for the day.
