American SW Darts 10th annual Christmas Party was held December 18th, at the Tempe Elks Lodge. The day started off with coffee and doughnuts, which included a brief appearance by Santa, aka Landy Dove and Rudolph, aka Lowell Brock.

The morning continued with a Men's Cricket Doubles and a Ladies 301 Doubles tournament. While the men were finishing up, the women decided to have a singles 501 tournament.

At break time, a lunch buffet was prepared by the Elks Lodge, which included ham, roast beef and all the trimmings. Raffle drawings for the 40+ door prizes, worth over $1,500, were handed out during the lunch. Prizes included DVD players, TV's, Dirt Devils, tool sets and much more. There was also a raffle for a Valley dart machine that was won by Robyn Safar.

A few more cocktails and a couple of splash games and then it was time for the main event. The afternoon tournament was a blind draw mixed doubles. One hundred players were trying to take some of the total prize money, which was over $3,000 for the day.

Thanks again to the Tempe Elks Lodge for providing an excellent venue for the Christmas party. Thanks also to all of the players who made it another successful event. We hope to see all of you again next year.
