The 2004 Mic/Mac Memorial Tournament, held Sat., Feb. 21 at Big Daddy's North, started with a tribute to Mickey Frasier and Johnny MacDaniels with a Count-Up Tournament.

During the tournament, anyone hitting a 9 mark on the 20's (Mac's favorite number) received a shot of whiskey (Mac's favorite drink). Anyone hitting the 9 mark on the 19's (Mic's favorite number) received a Budweiser (Mic's favorite drink).

Rich Finn plays darts once a year at this annual tournament. But, he is still a great shot. After he and Angie lost their first match, they fought all the way back through the loser's bracket and came up just short to Lucky and Lonnie, who were tough throughout the tournament.

The 9 marks were flying, with many toasts made to Mickey and Johnny.

The main event started with a tribute presented by Rich Finn (Mickey's son-in-law). It was an emotional moment with two of Mickey's daughters also playing in the tournament. The 40 players battled with Lucky Newbury and Mark Rymer, the obvious team and ultimate winners.

In the end, many laughs, lots of memories, a few tears were all in tribute to our good friends Mic and Mac. This year, we are fortunate; we do not have anyone in the dart family battling cancer. All the money raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society in the names of Mickey Frasier and Johnny MacDaniels.
