Garrison Guaranteed Dart Tournaments
by Daniel Vinesky

The first of many Garrison Guaranteed Dart Tournaments happened on January 16th at the Northern Lounge. If you don't know what the Garrison Guarantee is, let me explain.

This dart tournament has a $10 entry fee, but what sets it apart from others is that there's guaranteed added money based on how many players show up. The added money is as follows: 4-16 players = $200 added; 18-32 players = $300 added and 34-64 players = $400 added.

Garrison Guaranteed Dart Tournaments are open to all players from beginners to masters. On January 16th, we had 18 players show up for the dart tournament. That means $300 was added to the tournament and $180 in player's fees, for a total payout of $480.

The tournament winners are as follows: tied for fifth were Ann Mordock and John Linaris/Daniel Vinesky and Junior. Sorry for not getting your last name before you left, Junior. Just so everyone knows, it was Junior's first dart tournament ever, and the way I played you might have thought it was my first time, too (0.8). Thanks for keeping us in the tournament Junior.

In fourth, it was Jeff Spencer and Tim Inman. Third place had Anthony Johnson and Greg Burleson. Only third guys, what happened? Oh, I remember now!

In second place we had a brothers team, Amador (Forty) Torres and Gilbert Torres, who knocked Anthony and Greg out of the tournament. I guess good teams lose, too.

Now, for the winners - in first place were Andre (Butters) Tworek and Pauly Parosky, good job guys.

Wait... just when everyone thought the tournament was over. Larry Eans, the owner of the Northern Lounge, saw how much fun everyone was having (Ann?) that he did a second tournament, in which he also played.

The results are as follows: in fourth were Amy Bruno and John Linaris, third went to Anthony Johnson and Greg Burleson. Yes, they drew each other again. In second, Larry Eans and Daniel Vinesky; wow, another person new to dart tournaments carries me to second place, that's nothing new.

Andre (Butters) Tworek and Paul Parosky took first place, again! If you missed this tournament you missed lots of money added (Thank you Larry Eans of the Northern Lounge), darts and shirts fling (did I say shirts? Yes!) and drink specials. I don't think I said it enough to Larry on the 16th, but thank you!

Larry Eans is one of very few dart and pool bar owners in the Valley willing to go the extra mile for players.
