Usually I try to be light hearted in the Ask Mike column - joke around and have fun with darts and dart players. However, this month, the rest of the Medallion staff and I were swamped with angry questions regarding an anonymous letter published in last month's paper called "Thoughts from a reader".

They asked, "Mike, how could you guys print that in the Medallion and did you write it?"

First, before I ream this moron; since my first journalism class, I was taught that "freedom of speech" is what our great country is based upon. Secondly, I first read the article in the newspaper, just like you.

Now, where do I start with this bonehead? I mentioned our great country was based on freedom of speech. Who set that up? Oh yeah, a bunch of ignorant immigrants who have no business being here in the first place, right?

Hey, Mr. Anonymous, "Kiss my ass!" The only people whose forefathers or ancestors were here first are the Native Americans. In this ridiculous article you keep stating that immigrants attacked our country on 9-11. How about terrorists?

You mention young soldiers born outside of the United States being sworn in to vote and you have a problem with this. What are you saying, come and be a solider for the USA, but you can't vote? You can die for us, but don't try to vote? Get off your ass Mr. Anonymous and join the military!

If you have the rocks to write this article, have the rocks to put your name on it. It sounds like you are a big whine-bag that wants the government to help you instead of these immigrants.

I live in Arizona where we have a very diversified group of people. I have many friends that either themselves or their parents were born outside the USA. They are black, Mexican, Japanese and even a few from Iraq. They speak great English, have good jobs and give back to the community. They are American citizens who help make our country stronger. They are employers of many people, who have come here because our country is great, just like our ancestors.

They are not here for handouts; they are here to raise their families in the greatest nation on earth. They are here to get away from oppression, communism and poverty - just like those "ignorant immigrants" that wrote The Declaration of Independence.

I wish George Washington could read your article; he would not only roll over in his grave, but jump up and kick your ass. I think you and your senior pilot had too many drinks "several years ago" (I hope he wasn't flying the plane that night). You're the kind of guy who thinks anyone not born here should ride in the back of the bus.

You state in so many words, our "Commander-in-Chief" basically stacked the deck to win the election. What a loser! I think your deck is a few cards short. I could go on and on, but I think you get my point.

I feel you owe an apology to many people, not for voicing your opinion, but for being ignorant. And by the way, no one asked you and no one cares what bothers you anyway. Next time you feel like putting something in writing try flushing your head down the toilet to wake yourself up first.

In closing, my thoughts are my opinions and not necessarily the views of anyone else. As usual, I could be wrong, but not on this one.
