Jimbo’s packs em’ in for $2,500 tourney

On the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, with the turkeys waiting to be cooked, lots of turkeys showed up at Jimbo’s to play darts. Some normal people were there as well. The final tally was 78 shooters.

Randy’s new layout is awesome with plenty of room to move about and play some great darts. With eight boards, Scooter and Marty did a great job getting the matches going and cruising through the tournament well before closing time.

Some great teams went down early, but there were plenty left at the end. Newly named to the Arachnid Team USA for the Asian Bullshooter, David Fatum, teamed up with the comeback player of the year, Brett Valentine. Congrats to David… what an honor.

The guys had to beat the Brown Bomber, Bob Castillo, and the no longer omni-present Pat Womack. It was a great match and Dave and Brett snuck out the victory for a first place paycheck of $1,200. Not bad, as Randy added in over $1,300 to make the $2,500 payout.

As always, Randy is a great host, and the drinks were on ice with plenty of wonderful servers doing a great job; and as always, the food is some of the best and the Wine Burger gets my vote for the best around.

I’m sure Randy has plans for more great times coming up next year. Check the paper and make sure you don’t miss Jimbo’s next big shoot.
