Valley dart players always willing to help

Whoever it was who coined the phrase, “the only two things that are certain in life are death and taxes,” was wrong. There is a third certainty - the support of Valley darters for those in need of a helping hand. Time and again, they rally and dig deep into their pockets for a worthy cause and demonstrate their generous spirits.
This time it was at the North Phoenix Dart Leagues banquet on July 2nd at Stinger’s.
Yogi, one of the Stinger’s bartenders, had taken ill and was in the hospital, so the players decided to raise some money by having an “Out Shot” during the tournament.
Half of the money would go to help out Yogi, and the player who was drawn for the “Out Shot” would win the other half. A total of $500 was raised with Dan Widney drawn to make half of the pot his.
After hitting the shot, Dan decided to donate all of the money back to Yogi. Thank you very much Dan. Hope you get well soon Yogi.
Arizona players - you rock.
