Draft Choice; Auburn, WA – Darts main focus at the Draft

One of the Northwest’s original and steadfast dart bars, the Draft Choice, filled up quickly on Saturday, January 16, as Coordinator Norm began taking sign-ups for both the dart tournament and the next league season.

There were fourteen teams on hand for their monthly Cricketmania shoot featuring a $500 Added pot, and we saw some new faces along with most of their regulars warming up at the boards.

Earlier, Norm sat at his regular roost overlooking his dedicated dart room, taking league sign ups for Spring and handing out complimentary dinner tickets to those that commit their teams to the Draft Choice. Big ol’ spaghetti dinners were flying out of the kitchen throughout the night and into the early morning hours. Norm managed to bump his team count by more than 16 for the next season just in that eight hour time span! Way to go, Norm! He also introduced us to his new girlfriend, Pattie, who is fairly new to the game, but she’s on track to do quite well in her new sport.

The crowd that frequents the Draft Choice is diverse, faithful, and very friendly. It’s always an experience to visit the Draft Choice in East Auburn, where darts is the main focus of their business… well that, plus the killer food, drinks, service, etc. But seriously, they have something like ten or twelve boards along the entire back wall of the bar, and they are always being used. They also bring in live bands on the weekends, which have become very popular with their patrons, drawing crowds from as far off as North Bend.

On Saturday, February 13th, the Draft Choice will be hosting a $500 Payout Sweetheart Shoot in recognition of Valentine’s Day. Bring your honey and your darts and spend a romantic evening together at the Draft Choice.
