C&C PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS First Annual 2010 Las Vegas Challenge

Welcome to the first annual Las Vegas Challenge!   This is an event to promote darts and give players a chance to “strut their stuff” at the Medalist World Championships event this summer.  How you ask?  Allow me to explain.

This is a doubles team event which will take place over three weekends in April (see ad below for dates and details).  The event will be a 10 point to 19 point max event, with handicap.  The event will take place at four local bars in the Renton to Federal Way area, including Spectators, Pickled Onion, R Bar and Cloud 9.  Entry fee will be $20 per player, race to seven games at all locations.  This will give you and a partner a chance to win some cash and a spot at Worlds.

Payouts will be based on a 64-team field, with first and second place teams receiving vouchers for airfare ($200 to $250), fully-paid entry into Medalist World Championships ($69.99), and some spending cash!  Third through sixteenth place finishers will also be receiving cash awards.  Currently, payouts are projected to be $600 apiece for first place, with the latter payouts funneling down.  Please see posters in bar locations for full payout listings. The entry form and a complete list of dates and sponsors is located below in the Las Vegas Challenge ad.

A completed entry form and player fees must be hand-delivered to Rick Clark or Terrance Carter no later than March 31, 2010 to be eligible.  No call ins, no drop offs at bar locations, no text messages will be accepted. This is a first-come, first-served event.  As you all know, with every event there are some rules, so pay attention because here they are:

1. Based on 64 teams (Doubles).

2. $20 entry per player, $40 per team.

3. Entry must be paid with sign up or not valid, these must be delivered in person to Rick or Terrance, by March 31, 2010. No drop offs at any locations, no call in’s.

4. Single Elimination – No Losers Bracket

5. Only Medalist rated players – No “T” rated players allowed.

6. Team points 10–19 maximum.

7. Handicap 9 mark max.

8. No Female Bonus Point.

9. Start time 1:00pm on SATURDAYS and 12:00pm noon on SUNDAYS with a 15 minute grace period, no exceptions.

10. Medley format 701-Cricket-Alternating. Choice on the rubber game.

11. Two matches each day.

12.  Coin toss to determine all game decisions. No corking.

13.  Race to 7 wins.

14.  25 round max. No extended play. Board determines the winner.

15.  Substitutes must be rating for rating, and verified and approved by Terrance or Rick. No exceptions.

16.   No tolerance rule. This means no “bad” behavior ladies and gentleman. This will be an automatic disqualification of your entire team, no questions asked. If there is an issue, concern, or question regarding this rule, please ask us.

The Las Vegas Challenge series of events will be held on Saturdays and Sundays for Regional and the Sweet Sixteen, this will ensure that everyone has a chance to participate if they work on Saturdays or Sundays. See rules for start times.

Please be sure to mark day of preference on entry form.  This is a first-come, first-served event, so the quicker you turn in your team entry, the better chance you have of getting your selected preferences.  All location selections for shooting will be done at random by Terrance Carter, Rick Clark, and witnesses.

We hope that this event will be a success, and everyone will enjoy it.  We plan on continuing this as an annual event.  Good luck and shoot well!
