Labor Day Duo at Cactus

By Ty Hughes

Cactus Moon’s annual Labor Day dual shootout came off without a hitch on Sunday, August 31st. Dart Coordinator, Cindi Zinkand, and a host of helpers, including Joy House, and now the most gorgeous Linda, signed up 16 teams for the early afternoon $750 Added shoot.

Cactus Moon is a proven mecca for darts and dart players. Paul and Robyn, owners, have built a reputation for being one of Everett’s premiere dart houses, if not within the entire state of Washington. With a huge dedicated area specifically designed for dart tournaments and league play, the Cactus Moon is a favorite among players and draws teams all the way from Tacoma and Bellingham on a regular basis.

Cindi has announced this as being her final season as Coordinator for Cactus, since she’s been there for many years and simply needs a break to focus on her personal life for a bit. Paul and Robyn should have absolutely no problem filling Cindi’s spot with such a massive following of quality players anxious and willing to do the job. Now, filling Cindi’s shoes may be a bit tougher. Cindi is one of the beloved characters around the darting community and her absence will be hard to get used to. She’s always gone above and beyond for Paul and Robyn and her faithful dart players ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú a testament to the solid program at Cactus backed wholeheartedly by the ownership, management and staff alike.

The service at Cactus has always been tops and continues in that vain. The barstaff doesn’t just hide behind the bar and wait for you to come up to place an order, they actively carouse the tables in search of empties and promptly fill ‘em. As a customer at Cactus Moon, you’ll want for nothing ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú they take such good care of you that often your glass is full before you even ask practically. And the food! OMG, the food! Breakfast, lunch and dinner is the best time to order up some grub from their amazingly diverse menu. People come from far and wide to enjoy a meal at the Cactus Moon and they always go away happy. Word of mouth spreads quickly as evidenced by the packed out house all the time here. Where are you spending your time? Better give Cactus Moon a try, use it or lose it, as they say.

By 9:00pm on Sunday, August 31st, the dart room began filling up again for the second advertised $750 Added shoot for which they signed up a comfortable 26 teams. The payout ended up being $1,000 for this one and everyone had a blast.

There are always good stories to be told and good friends to reconnect with here. Even Scott and Carrie showed up back on the scene after years of being away. Uncle Sean McGee brought his niece Samantha out for a taste of Northwest nightlife, as she’s visiting from the East Coast. You’re bound to come away richer for the experience if not richer with some cashola!

Make the Cactus Moon a regular stop for so many reasons; obviously darts, the killer food, sports on 31 HDTVs, the amazing service, or try the Trivia Night with KRKO’s “The Fish”. See their ad for all the details you need to ensure a positive night out with friends, or bring your own, they’ll be talking about the fun they had for months to come!
