Wah Long Sign Up Party
By Ty Hughes
In a classic display of Wah Long generosity, Jimmy Tham, owner, was busy barbecuing tasty chicken wings and hamburgers on the patio to kickoff their Fall League Sign Up Shoot and Party on September 11th, 2008.
They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and apparently Jimmy gets it. Even his sister was busy in the kitchen whipping up a bunch of fried rice, salad and more of Wah Long specialties to woo the players into shooting league out of their location.
The free food and good spirits seemed to pay off for Wah Long since Jayleen, coordinator, with the help of Terry, a Medalist rep, signed up a whopping 20 teams on that night alone!
Everyone was in a good mood, shuffling around making conversation, and enjoying the complimentary food. Some were warming up at the boards, gearing up for the tournament to follow. The bar continued to fill up with more and more bodies and the excitement was in the air, undeniable.
Wah Long had advertised a $500 Added shoot and ended up with 14 teams on the charts when it all got started. Terry split the scene since he had a full week of sign ups scheduled. And the real party began!
Some of those out for a good time, were Adam and Mina, Trish, Mance, Shelley and Christy, Dawn, Ryan, Nicole and so many more. Good times at Wah Long in Burien always prevail. Stop in and get a few practice games in. Enjoy some lunch or dinner at Wah Long ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú their food is absolutely the best around. Play in a dart tournament, make some new friends, let loose and enjoy!
Good luck to all the players in the Fall league season.
