Stars owns Fridays
By Ty Hughes
Five Medalist Avanti dartboards and no waiting at Stars in Federal Way!
On Friday, September 9, Stars was as crowded as ever with dart players, pool players, karaoke singers, and general customers. Miles was taking Fall league sign ups, but it was slim pickins that night unfortunately.
In a concerted effort to lure dart teams for the upcoming 10-week season, Stars put out a nice hot dog bar for the players that night.
Medalist’s Paul and Lisa Dill were in the house, catchin’ up with friends. Jen, Mark, TJ, and DeeDee brought some friends along for a fun night at Stars and a dart shoot. Save for the hot dog bar, they do this every single Friday night here! Friday nights are owned by Stars.
This is where the party happens. Always highlighted by an exciting $500 dart tournament, Stars Fridays also now features George Hobson with his “It’s OK (Only Karaoke) Show. For those of you who enjoy professional karaoke for amateurs, KJ GeoDaddy your host, will get you up singing an old favorite on that microphone between dart matches.
The customer service is amazing at Stars. Val and the rest of the staff is right on top of it like white on rice. Except for getting up to throw your darts or sing, you don’t ever have to leave your chair if’n you don’t want to.
Stars is a longtime participant in the Medalist program and has made a big impression on the dart landscape, often drawing players from miles away to join in their tournaments.
Check out their ad in this issue for details on upcoming shoots and events planned for Stars Bar & Grill in October, and plan a night or two in the heart of Federal Way this month.
