Everett’s hotspot for darts
By Ty Hughes
Apparently, I was a bit harsh on Chris Mackie a few months back. He made it very clear when our paths crossed at Sporty’s monthly $500 Added shoot. What can I say? I like to poke fun at those that I think can handle it, and Mackie makes for such an easy target, you know. I’ve got nothing but love for the man and his contributions to the darting world, no matter how little they actually have to do with darts.
On Saturday, July 18th, Chris and his cast of dozens piled into the infamous bar off Evergreen Way and proceeded to tear the place apart with their darts. Like a pack of animals eleven teams strong, they surrounded Sporty’s four boards and voraciously consumed the attending competition along with as much as possible at the bar. Oh yeah, they were all sure to mix in a few cold ones on the old consumption list.
The servers that work the dart crowd at Sporty’s always make such a great impression. I mean, you never have to think about your own needs because they’ve totally got you covered before you realize you even need something. They’re cute, quiet, efficient and hardworking all the way around ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú exactly what every dart player loves in their favorite dart house. The darters are very well cared for at Sporty’s, that’s for sure! Maybe even spoiled. When their league teams travel to other bars where the service isn’t quite so prompt, I’m sure they realize what they have in their home location.
Sporty’s is family-friendly until 10pm and they have a special kids menu, so rally the troops and come on down for an entertaining evening with the whole family! They’ve got a whole game room with a good selection of video games and foosball for the kids, plus a Big Buck Safari game for dad! Dad may be too busy staring at the ten-foot big screen TV while his favorite running back zigzags downfield. Mom and the kids can enjoy Sporty’s full-sized shuffleboard, pool tables and dart boards. The entire family will appreciate the humongous menu with anything you might want. They’ve got 19 beers on tap, including the exclusive Joe & Jack’s Everett Amber, brewed by Pyramid Brewing Company! How cool is that?
The prices are really easy on the wallet too ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú you can get yourself a BIG beer for just $5.00.
Sporty’s will even cater your parties. They believe in sharing a good thing and you’ll be the beneficiary.
As for their dart shoot, they kicked in the $500 to the pot, rewarding the players who came out. First place paid out three-hundred bucks!
Check out Sporty’s Beef and Brew any night of the week for a good time, bring the family and build those relationships!
