Spectators pushes forward under Hobbs
By Ty Hughes
Spectators is doing just fine in this cutthroat economy. At least from a dart standpoint. Mike Hobbs, Spectators Coordinator is busy working closely with owner, Sean Begley, to create a plethora of dart tourneys designed to entice and appeal.
Bottom line is that they are putting together some great dart shoots for you to participate in. Typically, you can count on Spectators on any given Friday night. That’s sorta their mainstay dish. But check out Friday, December 11 and 18th – back to back $1000 Payout Shoots! Both meant to be bookmarks to the week of Hanukkah. Just to keep things interesting.
On Wednesday, December 23, Mike and the gang will be hosting a $500 Added Christmas Shoot. All their shoots start at 7:30pm, so you can plan to get finished up at a reasonable time.
On Friday the 13th, Mike signed up 16 teams and the bar added $400 to the pot.
After quite a battle at the boards, I was transfixed by the skill at which these guys were throwing tonight. Denny was on fire, so was Jeff and they almost squeeked one out on Kelly and Jeff, but couldn’t close the deal.
These are the results:
1st Place: Kelly and Jeff ($220)
2nd Place: Denny and Brad ($170)
I didn’t catch the 3rd Place winners, but Todd and Justin took 4th and snagged $60 in cash.
I’m excited to come in and try some of Spectator’s advertised Holiday drink specials; Santa Shooters taste just like a candy cane apparently, and a Klondike Bar shot.. YUM!
Come on out and spend some quality time at a quality dart house.
