Ringers begins the building process
By Scott & Karen Kringle
Let it go down in the history books as September 10, 2009, the day a well-known and well-storied neighborhood pub opened their doors to dart players everywhere.
Ringer’s Bar and Grill, located in the beautiful city of Mountlake Terrace opened under a new owner and a new name. Formerly Sharkey’s, Ringer’s Bar and Grill is currently supporting league darts and weekend tournaments.
Beginning with their very first dart tournament, Ringer’s would add $500 to the pot, even when they signed up just 14 teams, a few short of the minimum. Still a darn good turnout for their very first shootout.
Some longtime shooters showed up, including Shane Perez along with his son Aaron. Dart shooters at Ringers had a chance to hit a bullseye in the Bullseye Draw. For just $1 per ticket, you get a shot at it. Hit a red bullseye, you win $5, hit a black bull, you win $10, and if you were one of the lucky ones to hit 3-In-The-Black, you win $150 cash, baby! On this day, no one was lucky enough to walk out with $150, but there were a lot of 5′s and 10′s going out the door.
Ringer’s paid down to 5th place; it took just two and a half hours to complete the shoot. Darin and Brian took first place, Brian and Tyler finished in second place. Ringers boasts excellent service and a clean, upbeat atmosphere. Allianna worked her butt off picking up after all the food spills and garbage left on the floor.
They have all the college football games on their 18 HDTV’s with a great seat for any screen. The food is out of this world. Let Marcus cook you up something hot and juicy to eat. He adds a Caribbean flair to his best dishes.
Ringer’s employees all got involved with the dart shoot; Bret the owner, his cook Marcus, the bartender Justin, and Nate also joined in.
