Get your kicks at R Bar
By Ty Hughes
Jay Birkland, Nico, Tommy, and the rest of the gang spent the evening of Friday, May 15th at one of their favorite watering holes on the hill in Renton at the popular dart house, the R Bar.
The draw was yet another of their monthly $1,000 Payout dart tournaments. It was a Cricket Only affair and drew nineteen teams, all chomping at the bit to get their mits on some of that cash!
When we showed up, the tournament was winding down and Terrance, R Bar’s coordinator, was nowhere to be found, probably at home in the fetal position under a mass of bedsheets, sawing logs by that time. But the party-like atmosphere was still in full effect at the R Bar. Nico rallied his “dart family” for a photo op to mark the occasion ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú thanks Nico!
Many of you remember Mark from a couple years back, a familiar face at most dart shoots. He was in da house with darts in hand. Coming back home after a couple years in Hawaii, Mark looked to be in top form after taking the last two years off from darts altogether. Teamed up with John, they slid into a sterling second after losing to Dom and Eddie in the championship match.
Josh and Robert took third place for the night. Robert McClendon has also been away from the game for a spell, but back for more once again.
These three teams split a buttload of cash among them, justifying the trip out and time spent at the R Bar.
Once the tournament gets pared down to just a couple boards, the action spills over to the other side of the room where those already knocked out enjoy some high-stakes money games to whittle the night away with good friends doing what they love to do?¢‚Ǩ¬¶ darts baby!
If you love darts like these guys, then you’ll make it a point to be present for their next $1,000 Payout on Friday, June 12th. It’ll be all Cricket and starts up at 8pm sharp, so don’t be late!
Terrance has also announced his two new helpers in running the darts; Brian and Krystal. Together, they’ve got all your needs and desires covered in style. They speak darts, they know darts and the players that love darts and what they want.
Stop in on any given Friday for R Bar’s $300 Gtd. Added weekly tournament, starting at 8:30pm. Darts is the name of the game at the R Bar, but they also have pool tables and great food to quell that growing hunger ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú all you’ll ever need for an exciting and fulfilling night out on the town.
