Partytime at the Pickled Onion Pub
By Ty Hughes
The Pickled Onion Pub on Renton’s hilltop is always a place you can go to let go of life and just soak in the freedom to be human.
The Pickled Onion is also a great place to catch a party. Whether it’s darts, pool, or just a bunch of fun-loving crazies out for a grand time at the pub! The folks are usually spilling out the front door with pure elation.
Of course, we don’t need to cover the fact that the Onion is one of our premium dart houses in the Seattle area. Owners Sean and his wife Jennifer have forged a great neighborhood pub with their name all over it. The Pickled Onion staff is like no other. They all take such good care of their guests.
It was absolutely a madhouse in early November when I popped in to see how the tourney was going. Wall to wall people and bodies, literally getting to the bar to order a drink was well outside the realm of possibility. But we tried anyway. We got caught up in a swirl of blurry activity, dizzying like a drug. Somehow or another we popped out the other side to be greeted by Klaus. He’s like, “Hey Ty, Coors Light, then?” I love you man!
After getting my beer I dove back into the madness for what seemed like an eternity and got lost in the freedom it was just to be me right there, right then. …Alrightey then.
Justin and Cal, Jen and Jen, Trish, Sarah, all the people I still have yet to meet. It’s a tall order I say.
Plan on making your way into the Pickled Onion on Saturday, December 5th for their first of two dart shoots that month. It’ll be a $500 Added, 19 point bring. Should be a good one – it always is!
Then on Saturday, December 19th, the Pickled Onion is proud to announce their Christmas Bonus Shoot! One thousand big ones paid out for this one. Also will be a monster turnout. Twenty one point per team max, $10 entry, 8pm start.
Don’t miss all the holiday action at the Pickled Onion. You know all your friends are there wondering why you’re not there yet.
