More than just winning

Lynnwood native Don Martin met Orlando Prieto in Las Vegas, Nevada at Medalist’s World Championships. Orlando shoots darts out of Whittier, California for Fear None Zone.

“Orlando gave me some great advice when playing in the C Singles Flight”, Don said. “’You’re not playing a friend in your neighborhood bar’, he told me, ‘you’re in Las Vegas – you point to win.’” “You had me!”, he said.

Don took 3rd Place. Orlando moved on.

“Last year was my third year in Vegas for Worlds”, says Don, “I can’t wait to see my friends from all around the country again.”

“Orlando is now friends with many of my own; Ty, Ray, and Mary of Flights, Lucky of Lucky Dog Sports Bar, and others. He wants to come stay with us in Washington for a week and shoot in the Super Singles.”

“Vegas or not, I’m not playing him like a friend.”
