Liquid Lime at Cactus Moon

Rally for the Novice Cup

Mother Nature finally decided to give us some nice weather on June 5, 2010. Lisa Deguire, Nicola Ford, Stacy Mannin and Angie Collins left the Liquid Lime and made their way over to Cactus Moon to challenge George and Michele Barnes, Jamie Neilson and Suzanne Mannville.

The match started off slow as everyone looked nervous but finally after nine rounds, Nicola hit the first Bull, which was followed by a Bull from Michele. Angie got into the groove and hit her first Bull, leaving Lisa with a 23, which she took out creatively to win game one.  

Game two looked like it was gonna go about the same until Suzanne hit the first Low Ton of the match. Michele followed suit by nearly taking out a 122. Nicola saw the opportunity and took out the game to gain a 2-0 lead. Michele continued to hit Low Tons, setting up George to take out game three to make it 2-1.

The teams would split the next two games to make it 3-2 Liquid Lime. Once again, George would step it up and take out game six and tie it up three apiece.

Cactus Moon would continue to heat up as they took the next two games and take the lead back, 3-5. Jamie jumped up and took out game nine to extend their lead 3-6.

Suddenly Liquid Lime teamed up, taking the next three in a row to tie it up 6-6. Suzanne continued her assault on the Bulls

Cactus Moon rallied in games 13 and 14 to regain their two-game lead. In game 15, Nicola flexed her girl-power and lead her team to the win when she took out 48, 7-8 Cactus.

Suzanne proved all match long that she came to win and continued to shoot well, and with Michele, Jamie and George doing their part, the record would show that Cactus Moon had won the match on this day. The team happily claimed the money and reclaimed their trophy, openly daring someone to challenge them for their Novice Cup!
