Experience bottomless Pied Piper hospitality

By Ty Hughes

Walk into the Pied Piper with a set of darts in your hands, and immediately you sense the love and respect from everybody in the room. Hold your head up. This is Base Camp - you’re among friends.

Pied Piper’s generous owners, Bobby and Teresa, along with the persistence and professionalism of Miles Norman have managed to build a dart house where there once was none. Actually, Bobby would argue this as a man with many, many years of avid darting experience over a long, illustrious career in the bar business. Formerly under an alternative league system, Pied Piper, since signing on with Medalist, I think I’m fair in saying that it’s been quite a ride for Bobby and the gang.

As a group, Pied Piper has been instrumental to the local Medalist dart scene lately, spreading a message of fun and friendship as they bounce around neighboring houses.

They’re growing too. Attracting new faces to the bar all the time. The excitement is catching on. Pied Piper is fast becoming a premier Medalist location. Keep an eye on these guys.

Everything Miles touches turns to gold it seems. Luck of the Irish I suspect. He’s had a tough few years, but his smile and enthusiasm never waned. He’s since landed on both feet, and still sporting that smile! God bless ya, Miles!

He and Jodi are anxious to pour their efforts into the dart program at Pied Piper. Building on a promising base of interest, we’ll see the Pied Piper winning awards.

Saturday night tourneys are the shiznit at the Piper. They’ve been getting a solid turnout, a nice, relaxed group of folks coming out to play in the weekly Parity Draws. Pretty sure I’ve seen a few Tacoma boys down here before. It’s worth the drive out. Tourney starts at 9:00pm. And Miles runs a quick chart too, so no worries. You’ll be done by quittin’ time. Bring your girlfriend and get her going on the shuffleboard table! There’s always somebody playing shuffleboard.

One thing is for sure, Bobby knows that beautiful cocktail servers will bring big business. Check! That one is covered! The staff is awesome and cute. They love the darts and, of course, the business it brings to their tip jar. Be sure to take care of those ladies, they work hard to keep you guys happy!

I was able to catch the winners of their December 17th Toys For Tots Shoot. They signed up 12 teams that night. Congrats to the winners pictured here. Great, friendly competition.

Just a week later, Miles and the guys threw a tournament where they gave away four humongous, 10 lb. slabs of Prime Rib to the top two teams! You should’ve seen these things! Better yet, get down to the Pied Piper and experience their bottomless hospitality for yourself.

Also, watch for their upcoming benefit auction, spaghetti feed, and dart shoot for TC, coming February 18. Come out and support those that support you!
