Saturday’s crazy at the Cloud
By Ty Hughes
Ike’s been busy upgrading the Cloud 9 to better serve his customers. He’s recently installed brand new flooring and carpet throughout, plus a new paint job that makes the place look much bigger and a ton brighter around the dartboards.
On Saturday, October 3, we popped in for their weekly $600 Added dart tournament. They had a full 32-team chart rolling along smoothly. The place was packed, as usual. Girls were dancing, everyone was in a great mood and happy to be celebrating another weekend away from the workplace. Erik, Brad and āDā were chillin’, ready to take to the boards. Joe Senn came out of his self-imposed dart retirement to throw some darts with his friend, Kathi, who has become quite the popular figure around the Cloud 9.
Newlyweds Brian and Hannah were in the house celebrating their marriage and friendships. It was just August when they were married on the party boat in Elliot Bay, Seattle. Congratulations you two, and good luck!
In fact, the Cloud 9 was crawling with teams from the Tacoma area trying to get their hands on some of that $920 cash payout distributed among the top six teams, with $340 going to first place alone!
The Cloud 9 has their very own Medalist In-House League on Thursday nights, due to the fact that they can fulfill their own division, thereby eliminating the need for travel. Amazing, huh?
Ike and his partners consistently break molds and set records within the darting world, often battling an Ohio location for the most Medalist teams in any given season. They also host some of the game’s best players, including John Husman, of course, and so many more!
