Cloud 9 packs ?¢‚ǨÀúem in
To say that the Cloud 9 was wall-to-wall bodies on Saturday, November 15th would be an understatement. Even coordinator Rick Clark said to Ike, “We are filled to capacity, Ike!” To which he replied, “What do you mean, we can still get 16 more people in here before we reach full capacity!”
Their scheduled Trios tournament with an eleven hundred dollar payout drew 17 teams, or 51 players, and was just wrapping up around 1:00am. The dart boards were actually roped off to keep the pulsating throng from breaching the field of the final matches still being played.
Not only were there butt loads of dart players in the house, there were even more party animals out celebrating life on a Saturday night. The draw? Well, Cloud 9 of course. They have a hot DJ spinning and mixing records from his sound booth surrounded by a heavily used dance floor. Everybody was shakin’ their booties and gyrating to the heart-pounding dance music. Excited conversation and party antics going on within every square inch of floor space available. It was like the crazy house parties of old ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú just another Saturday night at Cloud 9.
As for the dart tournament, it was Moku, Daniel and Ryan in the winner’s bracket taking on Lance, Mark and John, who lost their very first match only to come all the way through the tournament to meet up in the finals with the Driver’s Seat occupants.
Mark was on fire while Lance struggled a bit. Moku and his team were steady as they eventually knocked off their competition and were crowned reigning champs by Rick. He handed each team their cash winnings; $480 to Moku, Ryan and Daniel, $360 to Lance, John and Mark. Everybody went home happy that night. Even those that didn’t cash out in the tournament were thoroughly entertained with and by all the excitement swirling around on just another Saturday night at the Cloud 9.
Don’t be foolish, join all your friends at Cloud 9 for pulse-pounding good times every Friday night when they offer their $500 Added Parity Draw or their regular Saturday night dart shoots. Hang around after the shoot when the party reaches a fever pitch.
