Channel Marker celebrates the dads
By Lucky Pence
Traci Ewing and her gang partied at the Channel Marker on Saturday, June 20th, where they had good times planned in observance of Father’s Day.
They handed out prizes for the Oldest Father, which Jerry took away, hands down. Mike snagged the prize for being the father with most kids. Newest father went to who else?¢‚Ǩ¬¶ Matt.
It was an intimate tournament but a fun one. There were ten teams in the hunt for cash winnings that night. In third place was Mike and Bruce. Second place went to Lucky and Michelle, and first place was reserved for Floyd and Renee. Way to go guys!
Check out Channel Marker’s ad in this issue, they’ve got tons of stuff coming up that you’re gonna want to be a part of. Except there won’t be any dart tournaments on July 3 or 4, so enjoy the fireworks and come in and toast your independence.
On July 25th, the Channel Marker is sponsoring their 1st Annual Fishing Derby! Contact Jan or Brent to “cast” your way into this exciting, first-time event.
They’ll also be filling a bus full of Mariners and Yankee fans (hopefully all Mariners fans) and rollin’ on down the highway to Safeco Field for the big game on August 16. This oughta be quite the trip, so plan on getting on that bus!
Friday and Saturday dart shoots are a steady constant at the Channel Marker too. What with Traci’s new high-falutin’ job, we’ll be interested to see how much energy she can bring to the weekend shoots. If I know Traci, she’ll have energy to burn. Either way, the folks at the Channel Marker will surely have you eatin’ and drinkin’ among friends and friendly strangers. Fish On!
