Cactus Moon Tuesdays growing

By Scott Kringle

The Medallion crept into the Cactus Moon unannounced for just their second Tuesday dart shoot, a brand new addition to their weekly tournament lineup.

Touted as a $300 Guaranteed Added, 18 point bring, even throwing in a male bonus point – that’s right, a male bonus point! Finally, one for the guys! Sheesh! They signed up a whopping twenty-four players for both weeks, proving that they made a good choice by adding a Tuesday night shoot.

The lovely Linda Smith, who coordinates the event, held out to the last minute to make sure everyone got a chance to shoot. After the chart was filled out and the names were drawn, she quickly kicked off the matches on the boards.

The Cactus Moon has recently executed a few key changes that you might be interested in. For one, they removed the pool table from the lower dart area and replaced it with more standup tables and chairs. Cactus also has a total of 31 HDTVs now showing every possible college and pro sports game being televised at any given time.

Kevin Daves, owner of Tigers Sports Bar & Grill, came out on this Tuesday night to check out the action. He even offered to buy Linda a cocktail in a show of goodwill. Willy Crocket who works for that tiny, local company on strike, I think it’s called Boeing or something, gathered up enough coinage from his couch cushions to spring for a cold beer. He said he wasn’t sure when he would be off strike but after thirty plus days it was starting to get hard to make ends meet ?¢‚Ǩ‚Äú a common story from ’round these here parts. We hope to see the Boeing strike end soon so the local establishments will get their business back as soon as possible and we hope that if you still hold your job, that you make your way over to the Cactus Moon Saloon for some good times on a Tuesday night. The tournament starts up at 9pm. Get in there and say hello to Linda and get your name on the charts and participate for some of that cashola!
