Men’s Night popular at All Seasons
By Debbie Willerschiedt
It was the final Tuesday night tournament before league begins and there were men everywhere! A total of 14 teams from 7-points all the way up to 22-points warmed up at the boards. Those newer to the dart circle came out to learn some new tricks from these awe-inspiring high-rated players.
The format for this unique tournament was 701-TeamCricket-701 with a special handicap that made the matches so fun, particularly trying to get everyone to understand the rules.
All Seasons added $250 to the pot for added incentive. Some of our newer players noticed right away that this seemed more intense than usual. They were right.
As the teams began to drop out of the tournament, K2K Productions’ Kris Lockrem, All Season’s karaoke host, was asked to set up his equipment for an impromptu karaoke night. Gladly, he worked strictly for tips from the dart players and other bar patrons.
Late into the evening, it was down to the final three teams; Todd Pederson/Delmar Gaines, Timmy Haugen Jr./Ray Peck, and the infamous Rich Sutton with his partner, Lon, Owner of All Seasons.
Rich and Lon were in the Driver’s Seat, so they sat back to see who would get the thrill of shooting them for the top prize. Todd and Delmar were knocked out by Timmy and Ray, but took 3rd place – quite a feat, they knocked out numerous higher rated teams.
So Timmy/Ray would take on Rich/Lon in the finals. It was late, almost morning, but intense. Fatigue was starting to set in. With amazing skill and determination, Lon and Rich prevailed to take the 1st place prize!
