Players Cup
By Scott Kringle
Cactus Moon in Everett hosted the Players Cup on October 10, 2009. Tony, Todd, Jim and Jeff Springer represented the Cactus Moon team.
Team Cloud 9 consisted of four great players in John, Rick, Steve and Jacob Stafferson. College football games were being played out on their multitudes of television monitors and the jukebox was rockin’. Everyone was having a great time. DJ Michael J was setting up his equipment for a night of singing and karaoke.
Both teams started off real slow. After ten games, the match was dead even. In game 13, Todd started off by hitting 3-In-The-Black to build up his team’s confidence. But once more, Cloud 9 came storming back to take game thirteen and go up on Cactus Moon by one game. This was going to be a very long day with the match going back and forth. Both teams were now starting to warm up. Jim, Cactus Moon, had a few of his darts hit the board and not register. Screaming the Lords name in vain, he asked Todd why this was happening. “Because your throwing like a pansy”, he says. And with that, Jim went up and again his first dart didn’t register. You should have heard what he said about that round. Potty mouth!
Cactus Moon was now holding onto a ten to seven lead and everyone was still shooting like the score was tied. In the end, Cactus Moon won going away, 17-12.
Great job by both teams.
