Tough Novice Cup team

What does the Seattle Mariners, the Seattle Sounders, Seafair, and the Novice Cup all have in common?
Seattle hosted all of the above on the same day. Jimmy Jacks hosted the Novice Cup. Dave, Wendy, Krystina, and Lindsey came up from Cloud 9 in Kent to take on Erin, Margaret, Tami, and Joanna, who were holding onto the Novice Cup at Jimmy Jacks.
With the 3-game rule being applied to this cup, it was clear from the start it would not even come into play. Both teams were having a great time, and once more, Mike’s bar provided outstanding service.
The Novice Cup was started by a sports bar out of Mountlake Terrace and has been part of the sanctioned cups for over five years. It is by far one of the best cups to play for if you’re a novice or low-rated player.
On game five, Tami opened up with a T20, followed by a T18 and a S18 to take a commanding lead in the Cricket game. Game five would be one Jimmy Jacks would not lose. And after five games, the challenging team of Cloud 9 held a slim one game lead. Jimmy Jacks responded by winning the next four out of five games, taking back the lead, six to four. Cloud 9 was not going to sit back and watch their opportunity go by without a fight.
Dave took out game thirteen, giving Cloud 9 back the lead at seven to six. From the very beginning you could tell this was going to be a back and forth match and it was nothing short of just that. It took twenty-one games to decide the outcome of this match and in the end, Jimmy Jacks were able to stave off their opponents and hang onto the cup for yet another month.
Great match and sportsmanship from Cloud 9 – they really shot well. Jimmy Jacks has what it takes to hold this cup. The question is; Do you think you have enough game to come in at take it way from them.
Nice job by all.
