Jimmy Jacks keeps Novice Cup
By Karen Kringle
Saturday June 20th was an exciting day for Jimmy Jacks when they put up the Novice Cup to the next challenger on the list. Tami Payne, Erin Arganti, David Ortmann, and Joanna Ortmann represented Jimmy Jacks who opened their doors to team Monte Carlo, Greg Veitch, Debbie Vanderlin, Steve Bell, and Tammy Howard.
Monte Carlo was intent on ripping the cup from the clutches of Jimmy Jacks, but ended up asking us not to reveal their last names based on the final score of the match. Sorry guys, I was overruled on this one by the Cup Director.
Jimmy Jacks was in control of the match from the very beginning, winning the first five of six games.
Greg for Monte Carlo said he started off really slow and felt like he got better as the match went on. He hit a Low Ton in game two, but failed to take the out the game when it was needed.
Monte Carlo came into Jimmy Jacks with a few supporting fans that tried to encourage them on, but it was just a tough day. Jimmy Jacks players were hitting Low Ton after Low Ton, and after all was said and done, the final score was 11 to 3.
“I know that Jimmy Jacks was hitting big today”, Scott Kringle said after showing up near the end of the match, “I also know that the Monte Carlo team is not an easy team to beat. It was just an off day for them”, he went on to say.
A word to the wise, be ready to play a tough team when you come into Jimmy Jacks for the Novice Cup, because this team is that good!
