Hot Shot Cup teams tested

There’s nothing better than a cold beer, a fat juicy cheeseburger, and oh yeah, a Challenge Cup match on a Saturday afternoon. Dawson’s Bar & Grill at 56th and South Tacoma Way was serving up all three on August 6. It was Hot Shot Cup time, boys and girls, and Dawson’s Allen and Aulton Dugan (the twins), Sue Dugan, along with Talya Soria were prepared to defend the very cup they just stole away from the Pickled Onion in July.

The team we call the “Dugan Family Plus One” welcomed the Flights crew; Craig, Jessie, Erin and Holly to the south side of the tracks for a crack at their precious Hot Shot Cup.

The match stayed pretty close all the way to game 18. No one had a clue how this was going to end! Just then Dawson’s went on an unstoppable winning streak to take the last eight of ten games thereby securing the Hot Shot Cup trophy for one more month, beating Flight’s team, 17-10.

Huge “Thanks” to Flights for coming over to play, for being great people, and throwing awesome darts. Congrats again to Dawson’s Allen, Aulton, Sue and Talya for keeping the Hot Shot Cup safely in Tacoma!
