Dawsons defends the 4×7 Cup 2x
By Jennifer Wood
Dawson’s Pat, Adot, Sean, and Ron gathered together on Saturday, April 30 to defend the 4X7 Cup against a traveling Cactus Moon team including, Lee, Bill, Todd, and George.
What a great day of darts with an even greater group of guys. The games were pretty even for the first half of the match, coming down to whomever got to the board first and take it out! Dawsons eventually took the lead in game 22, bringing the score to 14-8.
Huge shout outs to Lee from Cactus Moon, who went on a tear, shooting 14 bulls in a row over a period of several games! This guy was on fire. Not to mention Todd and Bill who both shot great Cricket games and George that would step up and close the games when they were needed the most.
Pat and Ron from Dawsons were also on fire, with 8 and 9-marks all around; add that together with Adot and Sean’s High Ton’s and it was a match not to miss.
Dawson’s continued their streak and ended the match with a win of 17 to 10! Way to go guys! Also, a big thank you to Michelle from Cactus Moon for coming down and cheering on her team, as well as Tami, Christina, and Kim for bringing the love to Dawson’s.
Two weeks later, on Saturday, May 14, Dawson’s was up again, willing to prove their previous win against Cactus Moon was no fluke. Casey, Mitch, Kevin and Lance from Waterfront Tavern in Bellingham got up extra early and made the trip all the way to Tacoma. These guys were ready to play! Much like their last match, the first half was very close. Casey and Mitch from Waterfront were attacking the bulls, while Kevin and Lance followed up with the much-needed clutch darts to take out the games.
Dawson’s answered back with Pat and Adot focusing on the High and Low Tons, leaving Sean and Ron to master those Cricket games. Dawson’s eventually pulled out another win, 17-10. All smiles, they stepped up to claim their trophy once again.
Thank you Waterfront for making the long trip down to Tacoma and playing a great match. And Congrats to Dawson’s for defending the cup for another two months!
