Lining up challenge cups one at a time By Ty Hughes Just like molasses in the sky dripping ever so slowly into our daily existence, the dart players at one of Kent 's premier dart houses, Spectators, just keep showing up as if on auto mode. We just happened to show up one random Friday night in September, and Tia Russo was directing traffic at the Coordinator's table. All the regs were there, and she managed a 23-team chart chock full of hopefuls. Spectators is a very comfortable location for darts, or anything for that matter. The food is awesome, and the layout lends well to the “one-big-party” feeling. It's bright, airy and positive. You'll get good vibes at the new Spectators. Find them at 25608 Pacific Hwy. South between Des Moines and Federal Way . The dart players of Spectators are really making waves around the challenge cup world, too! Don't look now, but together they hold some freakish amount of challenge cups, and are on a tear to acquire even more. These guys have put together some VERY formidable cup teams, and certainly have the other locations talking. Congrats to all those cup players out of Specs for continuing that which you've started—a real winning streak! Watch for more on these guys and their cups throughout the pages of this ultra-fine publication you've got a white-knuckled grip on right now. We love good, fair and friendly competition, people. Play your game in that vein, please. Ten-four. Over and out. P.S.—Go Spectators! |
