Players CupBy Tamra Easley Sunday, November 12, Spectators' Mike Hobbs, Richard Baker, Chris Perkins and John Kerr met Everett 's 7th St. Pub's Tyler Crawford, Brian Swaney, Matt Springer and J.R. Evans, tossing it up for the Players Cup. The 7th St. Pub guys braved the elements and the Seattle traffic to take in the Sunday Spectators experience in Kent – good food, good drinks and good service. The football crowd was also in attendance, enjoying the many games showing on multiple televisions, adding a bit of liveliness to the atmosphere. Both teams came out banging from the first darts thrown, showcasing their skills and proving why they are called “Masters” by shooting plenty of low tons, hat tricks and multi-counts in Cricket. Mike shot the first White Horse of the match in game 10, and did it in the traditional manner (T20-T18). John took care of the light work and shot his own WH on his next shot (T17-T15); they were one bull short of a perfect game! The football games were not the only sport with fans in the house. Tamara and her husband (Aaron) drove down to support their guys after a weekend of visiting family. The Specs guys had their own entourage in Brad, Debi, Kenny, Brett, Brian T., Brian H., Lance, Katie and Carrie. The plane flew, the hat blew up and the slashed, X'd and O'd plenty of times, but in the end, Spectators prevailed, proving their hold on the Players Cup is strong indeed, and they have no intentions of loosening their grip any time soon. Congratulations, guys! |
