O’HENRY’S; PUYALLUP, WA
O’Henry’s new owners speak darts

By Ty Hughes

Attention dart players! O’Henry’s Sportsbar is back in the dart business and excited about the future of darts in the heart of Puyallup.

Bob and Paula Savage, new owners of O’Henry’s, are both avid dart players and know how to cater to dart players. Together, with co-owners, Laural and Bill Lentz, they plan to reintroduce darts to a great location for local players to access.

Having been part of the dart world for many years, Bob and Paula, understand the game and the requests of the players perfectly. They are anxious to begin the rebuilding process necessary to exact a dart house that everyone can be proud of. All they ask is that you stop in and give ‘em a try sometime.

Bob has vowed to address some of the major downfalls that caused a multitude of problems for local darters during the previous ownership. Some of these changes include, but are not limited to; fresh, new carpeting underfoot while shooting, six new Medalist boards, plus a dedicated server for the players to get the kind of food and drink service anyone would expect while spending money at an establishment.

Not only is there a brand new focus on darts at O’Henry’s Sportsbar, 715 River Road in Puyallup, but they’ve put some extra work in creating a brand new menu including a plethora of burgers, pizzas, soups, salads, steaks and killer appetizers, all at a great price! Food and drink specials for dart players is a must and they know that.

O’Henry’s is a massive location, with a sound stage and dance floor, live music every Saturday, plus live DJ music every Friday night. The place fills up very quickly, so plan on getting there early, pick out a good seat and order up a delectable Ribeye steak and baked potato for dinner! They’ve got a ton of TVs situated all around the bar for all the sporting events, plus a big screen when the bar fills up with Seahawks and Nascar fans every Sunday morning, looking to cheer on their team among like-minded sports fans. Again, come in early Sundays, grab a chair and enjoy a breakfast before/during the games.

Thursday night is Ladies Night featuring $2 Coronas and food specials, dancing and partying.

Two pool tables, lots of seating and a bar/kitchen in-the-round, help to make O’Henry’s a prime spot for your weekly excursions. Bob and Paula hope to join in challenge cup play, putting together teams to bring a cup back to O’Henry’s.

All you South Sounders are invited to come out on Wednesdays during league break for a dart shoot and reacquaint yourself to the bar with a renewed focus on darts. Also, they will be promoting Spring League Sign Ups with a couple Sign Up Parties on Saturday, January 12 and 19, 2008. Tournaments will be 150% addeds, starting at 6pm. Anyone signing up on a Spring League team out of O’Henry’s will receive free entry into that night’s tournament.

Consider making O’Henry’s your home darting location for the upcoming league season. These guys will take good care of you and keep you smiling the whole season long!
