Players get in on Inni's big payout

By Ty Hughes

Inni's dart coordinator, Steve Heyman, signed up 20 teams on Saturday, July 21st for their monthly $1,000 Payout tournament, taking the total payout to $800 cash.

The atmosphere was lively as there was plenty of action in and around the bar, on and off the boards. And there's Steve, just sitting there, back against the wall (literally) and taking everything in complete stride. His demeanor is calm and collected as the inmates took over the asylum. I think, a grounding force by nature of example to his players, Steve is the master.

Inni's is a great location for darts due to the fact that they have a dedicated dart room with its very own full bar, plus, down a couple steps, the main bar offers pool, tunes and big screen TVs with all the sporting action being televised.

Several Medalist employees were on hand, out of uniform, to support their big dart house in their efforts.

The competition was tough, but as it all came to a head in the final hours of the evening, John and Yelena secured a fourth place finish while Kevin and Cassandra landed in second place. This development left Marta and David sitting in the driver's seat, ready to meet up with Tre and Jerry in the final match. It was late and they decided to split the winnings between them and everyone went home happy.

As is the norm at Inni's, there were several young and pretty girls running around, giving us old guys something to ponder. Inni's is one of Tacoma 's premier dart locations, drawing crowds from all over the Puget Sound area to partake in the entertainment.

Watch for lots of new darting events to come to Inni's over the next month. Come out and support the hardest working dart coordinators in Steve and Jackie as they work to provide a positive experience for you, the players.

For the record!

For those of you who got your panties in a bunch over the throwlines at Inni's, know this: Gary Tinder got out of his warm bed somewhere in Lynnwood after getting a call from Lakewood ( Tacoma ) during the waning hours of the day. He shuffled out to the car and drove a hundred miles to confirm the distance of Inni's throwlines were spot on! GT deserves your kiss on his ring finger for going above and beyond!

Thanks GT!
