A concept from the history books resurrected By Ty Hughes Wow! What can one say? Kelly’s a sweetheart and she’s working hard to fire up some interest in the dart community. She runs the program at 13th Ave Pub in Lynnwood. If you’re not aware, Wayne Larson of Sharkey’s fame and folklore owns and manages the 13th Ave Pub nowadays. Last month, they hosted a Battle of the Sexes shootout and just six teams showed up, so Kelly improvised perfectly. Everyone had a great time rotating on and off the boards and bouncing off the various personalities in the room that day. The winners were Larry and Margaret. Second place went to Mike and Justin, while third place belonged to Dawn and Willy. It was great to see Dawn, Wayne’s lovely wife, make time to join us for the afternoon. Kelly also actively pursued participants for their Super Count-Up Qualifiers. Really fun darts! The food and the nightly specials make the 13th Ave a must on everyone’s To Do list. Watch for some super cool promotional ideas to come to the 13th Ave Pub in months to come. Kelly is on a mission and she’s got the creativity to back it up!
