Red
Garter Classic
16th
annual ladies only tournament didn’t disappoint
By Ty Hughes
The 16th Annual Red Garter Classic took place at Daverthumps Pub on Saturday,
April 30th. They had a dozen teams on the charts and you know how these
girls can let loose and have a great time without the men. Well, this
would be no different.
Everyone became the proud owner of their very own red garter, which they
all wore with pride. But, soon after the silliness wound down, the ladies
got serious about their darts.
Charissa Patneaude and Tammy Payne dominated the field and secured a first
place finish for the day, knocking off the reigning champions from the
previous year; Jimmie Martin and Amy Brown, who ended up taking second
place. Congratulations to our winners!
This year’s Red Garter Classic featured tons of fun and laughter
and great competition. $300 in prize money was paid out to the more fortunate.
The Red Garter Classic is the oldest of all women’s tournaments
around the Pacific Northwest and its luster and popularity never seems
to fade in the eyes of its participants.
If you were not present for this one, be sure to catch next year’s
Red Garter Classic and become a part of its lure.
