Parity tournaments are benefit to all

Your leagues rating opens up a whole new world of competition for every dart player. Your rating number is the basis for a tournament format that will let lower rated players stand a very good chance of winning – a very good chance indeed!

Basically, “Parity Draw” tournaments match a higher rated player with a lower rated player as a team for an evening of competition.

This means that each team should be made up of two players whose combined point value will nearly equal every other team in the tournament. This matching of players means that nearly every team has nearly an equal chance of winning. Coming out on top is based on each player’s ability to shoot to his/her potential for the event.

Winning is not a given for the high rated players who are part of the event. Rather, the high rated players will be teamed with the lowest rated players - and, it will be incumbent on them to shoot their very best darts to make up for their partner’s more sporadic rounds.

Parity draw tournaments are proven successes all around the Medalist world. Players, noting a parity draw event, are quick to sign-up, knowing the team draws will result in teams of mostly equal capabilities. Everyone wins!

All teams can enjoy the absolute thrill of competition, knowing each has a good chance of taking home the top honors. Lesser players get to team up with better players; this is a unique chance to watch and learn. Better players enjoy the match-ups because they must be motivated to shoot their best darts; and, they have a chance to pass along tips and help to their developing partner.

Try one, and you’ll see what darts is really all about: good times, good friends and good darts!
