Udder Ox held an outstanding $1,000 dart tournament on Saturday, November 20th.

This was Rina�s anniversary party, and as always, she is one of the best hostesses around. Budweiser was there, giving away shirts and hats, and Rina had a buffet of food, which is always free for the dart players.

It was a great turnout, and if you missed this one, you should kick yourself. Fifty-eight players showed up and were ready to get things started.

Tying for seventh place were the teams of Rick Kerska and Dan Laws, along with Jimmy Damore and Dave Parisi. Ryan Terry and Nick Rivera tied with John Linaris and Red Felt for the fifth spot.

Fourth place went to Doug DiMichele and Mikey (who came all the way from Seattle). Martin Bedoni and Miguel Lozoya rounded out third place. Now, it was time for the showdown.

Pete Linaris and Rik Scherbing, two Master League captains, were sitting in the top spot. JC Martinez and Ron Merrill, two up-and-comers, would have to beat them two out of three � twice. There�s no way it could be done.

JC and Ron came out strong, beating the two Master Captains in the first match 2-0. A little bit of a wake-up call for Pete and Rik! They came out on fire and showed JC and Ron what they were made of, smoking them in 501.

JC and Ron weren�t done yet, they only had to win the next two games against the two Master Captains. JC and Ron won game No. 2. Could they do it again? Would it be one of the biggest upsets ever?

JC started game No. 3, closing the 20�s and 19�s and getting 19 points. Pete answers back with a 5 mark on the 18�s. Ron and Rik both shoot good rounds to help their partners.

When all was said and done, JC and Ron came out victorious, beating out the two Master Captains (Pete and Rik). Congratulations guys!
