As I sat down to write this article, I looked back at the whole day. Where should I start, what do I say and who do I talk about?

Usually, the articles of a special event tell you about who was there, who won and who had the most fun. This tournament was so much different. Everyone was there to honor Mic and Mac and to help raise money for the AmMIC_MACan Cancer Society.

The Mic and Mac Memorial Tournament, hosted this year at Big Daddy's North, was a huge success. Speeches were given and toasts made, and as one speaker put it, "Everyone in this room has been, or will be, affected by cancer."

This was truly shown by the generosity of all who contributed. We had a silent auction for some great prizes, sold raffle tickets and even put bounties out on each other to see who would get knocked out of the tournament first. When the prizes were gone and totals announced, people still continued to bring up donations. With help from the dart players and guests, we were able to raise over a $1,100 for the AmMIC_MACan Cancer Society.

Thank you to all the vendors that donated the prizes and to everyone that came out and played in the tournament. Thanks to everyone that looked into their hearts and wallets - it truly went to a great cause.
