Was it a night to spend with your sweetheart, or a way for the guys to get out and play darts and also make their women happy? Either way, it was a great time and two times the fun. We played a regular draw tournament and a couple's only tournament.

SixShooters provided the added cash, drink specials and a great dart area. My (wonderful) wife, Julie Bates, called most of the people. Twenty-eight were in the first tourney with Marci Halley and David Fatum beating John and Megan Gray, who are visiting from New York. The lovebirds drew each other in the first one and paired up to win the second tournament. That might help pay for their trip.

Barb Olsen and Rick Kerska got second in the No. 2 Tourney. Joel and Jessica Haines got third, and Julie and Mike Bates got fourth. But, it was really about spending time with your honey; quality time at the dart tourney, and sharing the special day with friends.

Come on, who's buying that? It was about having some beers, throwin' some darts and hanging out. That sounds more macho. But, if my wife reads this, I may not get out next Valentine's Day. Besides, it's on a Sunday anyway.
