AMOA National Dart Assn. welcomes new manufacturer member
INDIANAPOLIS - The AMOA National Dart Association announced the approval of NSM-Lwen Entertainment as a new Manufacturer Sponsor. The final decision was made via a mail ballot sent to the Board of Directors. NSM-Lwen's addition will enhance the on-going success of the NDA, as well as complement its current list of sponsors, which includes Arachnid, Inc., Shelti, Inc. and Medalist Corporation.
As the sanctioning body for the sport of soft-tip electronic darting, the NDA establishes rules of play and sanctions players. The Association also represents coin-operated vending companies who run dart leagues. In both roles, the NDA benefits from having all major dart manufacturers in the industry as part of the Association.
"This is an exciting time for the NDA," said newly elected Board President Larry McEntire. "Lwen's approval not only brings added value to membership in the NDA, we also hope it will increase NDA league systems and interest in the sport."
NSM-Lwen was originally a Manufacturer-Sponsor member of the NDA before, under NSM-Valley Inc. of Sycamore, Illinois, a former sales subsidiary of NSM-Lwen and supplier of the popular Valley Cougar 8 Dart games. After liquidation of NSM-Valley, from mid-2002 onwards, Cougar Darts were sold by Shelti Inc. of Sycamore, Illinois, the U.S. distributor for NSM-Lwen. In 2005, NSM-Lwen granted Shelti Inc. the license to manufacture Valley/Shelti darts.
NSM-Lwen has successfully sold electronic darts in Europe since the mid-1980s and has manufactured electronic dart games in Germany since 1999.
The NDA is an international trade association of coin-operated vending companies representing more than 300 members and 250,000 players worldwide. The NDA was formed by and for coin-machine operators to promote the sport of electronic darting exclusively on operator-owned equipment. The Association offers a variety of programs, materials and supplies to support its members in increasing the profitability of their dart operations.
