Andre’ House benefits from Don Henson Classic

Each year, the Arizona darters hold various events that raise money for different charities or dart players in need. After winning the Don Henson Classic, Jeff Loisel and Rick Schoen donated some of their winnings back and ask that we look into the Andre’ House as a possible charity.

After looking at the web site and talking to Teresa Kipp, the Volunteer Coordinator, I couldn’t help but agree.

The Andre’ House has been around since 1984 and provides so many things for the homeless and less fortunate that it is amazing. Meals are served each day, and anyone can come and pick out clothes from the house’s closet. The volunteers even provide a laundry service for their guests and given out 3,000 blankets this winter.

Located in the downtown area (Capital Mall District) the Andre’ House has helped many less fortunate make it through hard times. Visit the Andre’ House of Arizona web site, www.andrehouseaz.org, to find out more about them.

The great Arizona dart players should be proud to be a part of helping this wonderful organization.
