New League Requirements for 2008 NDA Team Dart
Change in league requirements in effect for 2008 Team Dart qualification.
INDIANAPOLIS – In order to qualify for the National Dart Association's Team Dart XXIII, April 18-26, 2008, participants must adhere to certain eligibility criteria. In keeping with the NDA's mission to standardize, promote and grow electronic darting, the NDA Board of Directors approved an increase in the minimum number of league nights required to obtain qualifying games for Team Dart.
To qualify for Team Dart 2008, the required minimum of 96 league games must be obtained in no less than eight (8) separate weeks of league play between April 1, 2007 and March 8, 2008.
In addition, all players must complete the following requirements to be eligible for Team Dart XXIII:
1) Be sanctioned by the NDA for the 2007-08 membership year. Contact your operator today to get sanctioned! For $7 per year, you will receive a personalized membership card and pin, three full-color magazines with your league results and local, state, national and international tournament results each year; eligibility in state and international tournaments affiliated with the NDA; discounts of 5-30% on prescription drug purchases; discounts on NDA apparel and other items; and more!
2) Play in leagues ran by NDA Charter Holder members in good standing and that are in compliance with all league-sanctioning guidelines.
3) Have played a minimum of 96 league games between April 1, 2007 and March 7, 2008. Qualifying games must be obtained in no less than eight (8) separate weeks of league play. [League games can consist of ‘01 and/or Cricket with a minimum of 24 games in the format the player is entering (‘01 or Cricket).] Participating in special leagues that play on both Saturday and Sunday does not qualify for two separate weeks of league play.
4) Compete during regular league play on machines owned and operated by NDA Charter Holder members.
5) Be entered in the tournament by the NDA Charter Holder on whose machine(s) they have completed the minimum game requirements for tournament entry.
6) Have a NDA player-skill rating using the Points Per Dart (PPD) and/or Marks Per Round (MPR) performance rating system for the event in which they are entered, to be classified.
7) Not compete in more than one level (Open, Masters, and Ladies Masters) in any one event.
8) Be at least 18 years of age and comply with the regulations of local, state and federal laws in which they compete in leagues. Prize checks can only be cashed onsite for those over 21 years of age.
VIOLATIONS of the above will void entries and be nonrefundable.
Team Dart XXIII will be held at the Riviera Hotel & Casino April 18-26, 2008. The 23rd anniversary event promises to be bigger and better than this year's tournament.
