The place to go for parties �n darts

Two of the nicest people I've recently had the pleasure of meeting are a brother and sister who are already familiar to many of you � Barb and Ken, owners of the well-known Phase II party store. They've owned the business since 1982 and moved to the present location at 12410 N. 28th in Phoenix (W. Cactus & I-17) in 1985.

Dropping in unannounced, these two still took the time to sit and chat with me for over an hour while their friendly and competent staff held down the fort. What a busy place! It was just before Valentine's Day, so that may be why, but I get the feeling the store is always busy since they seemed to have everything one could possibly want for a party except the cake and guests.

They have costumes of every kind and in all sizes, including masks, capes, wigs, makeup, hats and accessories; their theme costumes and party supplies include an entire Luau section, a Mardi Gras section, Renaissance and more. They even carry theatrical special effects � bubble machines, foggers, strobes, black lights, mirror balls, and more). Oh, yeah! Bingo supplies, too!

Every inch of space is taken up with all kinds of novelties, balloons, jokes, Over the Hill items, adult theme jokes, greeting cards, and who knows what else. A person could spend hours just browsing the aisles.

Lets not forget to mention the dart supplies as well. You all know by now that I'm not very up to speed on darts, but I can tell you that they carry every brand you can think of, and I thought they had some of the most interesting flights and barrels I've seen around. Plus, if they don't have it, they will get it for you.

What more can I say? Ken and Barb, you are a joy to spend time with, and I look forward to visiting you again, hopefully soon!
