A Woman's Perspective

From a princess' point of view

Just some food for thought!

If it is that big of a deal that beginners or lesser-skilled players sign up to play in big tournaments, then why do higher skilled or even pro players play in small tournaments?

Why would anyone object to parity draws?

Why won't a tournament director tell someone who is obviously way too intoxicated that they are way too intoxicated to sign up for the tournament?

What is the difference between a player who does not try their best, no matter their skill level, versus someone who is new or who like me is without skill, but tries their best?

Despite the obvious competition of the game, why don't the better players offer help or suggestions to new players or even encourage them to keep playing? (And I don't mean while they are on the line trying to throw in the tournament or league.) We should all want to welcome new players and expand awareness of one of our favorite games, not scare them away.

These are just some thoughts I have (yes, I have thoughts) and questions that I have been asked, so please, think about them and respond.
