Thank
you, from Pam
By Pam Allen
What a way to end a vacation! I came home and when I jumped back in the
fray, a very complimentary article in this newspaper greeted me. I cannot
thank you enough David, for writing such a nice article, the Medallion
for printing it and of course, to Jim Beck and Joe Kush for all their
efforts and time over these past few years.
I would, of course, like to brag about what great people our dart players
are. Each year, My Ole Mans tries to do several benefits for deserving
charities, and each year, our dart players jump to the call and raise
more than their share of donations.
This past October, our dart players excelled in donation support once
again. This time it was for a Cancer Relay. Our dart players raised $600
amongst themselves, and in just one hour! Again, a huge thanks. How did
we get so lucky?
In October alone, the patrons of My Ole Mans raised $2470 for charity.
The cancer relay and 50/50 shoot raised $1200 for the American Cancer
Society, our yard sale took in $670 towards helping our adopted Christmas
family and another $600 was donated to support Jamie Johnson in the 3
Day/60 Mile Walk to fight breast cancer.
Anyway, I can't say enough good. I can only thank all concerned for all
the support at My Ole Mans.
PS: Special thanks also to Garrison Vending for the great effort made
in coming up with the mobile dart apparatus seen here with Joe Kush and
Brian Hungerford at the Cancer Relay.
Our Annual Marcus House Benefit is on December 5th this year and My Ole
Mans invites you down to help out in this so very worthy cause. Call us

Support a life
that’s only just begun...
Marcus House is the only five-bed shelter agency in Arizona serving abused
and abandoned children from birth to age five. Is a staff-intensive, small
home that insures the critical and unique needs of these vulnerable children
are met. Children who are medically fragile, those requiring specialized
care for failure-to-thrive and malnutrition, drug-addiction and those
unable to flourish in large group facilities, heal, grow and learn at
Marcus house.
The goal of Marcus House is to give these children a positive environment
of healing, esteem building and learning, and to give each child a sound
foundation for what may be a long journey through Arizona’s foster
care and adoption system.
